001 - General Psychology I

Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. The content focuses on the exploration of major psychological theories and concepts, methods, and research findings in psychology. Topics include but are not limited to the biological bases of behavior, perception, cognition and consciousness, learning, memory, emotion, motivation, development, personality, social psychology, psychological disorders and therapeutic approaches, and applied psychology.

For your assignment, select the option for Scholarly/Peer Reviewed and use the Publication Date field to set your preferred date range.

  1. Type your search term in the box then click, Search. 
  2. Use the Refine Results menu on the left side of the search results page to narrow or expand your search.
    • Available at LAHC and Resource Type will be the most helpful in the beginning stages of your research.
    • There are many additional options listed for Resource Type that are not shown in the image below.
  3. Click Apply Filters to confirm your choices and update the search results.
