It highlights the importance of intellectual freedom and the right to access information without censorship.
Join us as we celebrate diversity of thought, the power of words, the freedom to read, and the courage to challenge restrictions on literary expression.
All events and activities sponsored by the Library and Communications Divisions at Los Angeles Harbor College
Starting October 5 and running through October 11, the "Dear Banned Author" letter writing contest is your opportunity to write a letter of appreciation to your favorite banned book author. Student letters will be displayed in the library lobby glass case, and the top three entries will win a prize.
Find your next captivating read in the library and NEA building.
Look at the Banned Books Week display to the right of the Circulation Desk in the Library.
Look for the display on the bulletin boards of the NEA building (second floor).
Explore a wide range of banned and challenged books with reasons why they were banned or challenged, including classics and contemporary favorites, available to borrow in the college library now.
