Reflections

June 2019

“It is quite true what philosophy says, that life must be understood backwards. But then one forgets the other principle, that it must be lived forward. Which principle, the more one thinks it through, ends exactly with temporal life never being able to be properly understood, precisely because I can at no instant find complete rest to adopt the position: backward.” Søren Kierkegaard

Take & Pin

May 2019

When you stop by the reference day to say hello, it makes our day.

When we help with your research and see the look of relief on your face, it makes us happy.

When you share your moments of stress, please know we understand.

When you tell us great news, we love the sparkle in your eyes.

Just know that we care,

Harbor cares.

Take one and pin it on.

Why isn't the LAHC Library on mainstream social media platforms such as Tik Tok, IG, and Twitter?

*Patrons can bookmark our website or blog page and visit us anytime.

*We know the value of individual rights and privacy concerns.

*Many platforms only allow account holders to view profiles while compromising their personal data and we prefer open access to information.

*Using social media in a safe way for research is a great option but majority of users do not set boundaries for their personal data.
